The US government has begun a major effort to eradicate the deadly virus that is killing millions and forcing millions more to flee their homes.
The effort is led by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), which is the US government’s primary public health agency.
It’s the first time that the US has stepped into the ringworm pandemic in over 20 years, which is causing a dramatic spike in cases.
The pandemic has caused the deaths of more than 1.8 million people since the outbreak began in 2014, according to the CDC.
It has also led to the loss of nearly 10 million US jobs, and tens of millions of dollars in economic losses.
But the CDC has found that its new efforts are working.
The effort aims to prevent millions of people from returning to their homes and to make sure that the country doesn’t end up in a similar situation in which millions of Americans are left homeless and without health care or clean water.
“We’re really hoping to reduce the number of people who are infected and the number that are not infected,” said Dr. Mark P. Krikorian, a CDC infectious diseases specialist who heads the pandemic strategy team.
“In some cases, if you just have people who stay home and don’t get tested, that is going to be a big problem,” he said.
The CDC’s pandemic effort is focused on a variety of ways, including the use of vaccines, using more efficient and less invasive testing methods and making sure that medical staff and other healthcare workers are up to speed on the latest information.
“These are really important steps that the CDC is taking, but we can’t just rely on those,” said Krikorians.
The government is also trying to figure out how to combat the new strain, known as ringworm, which can spread by sharing needles and contaminated water with infected people.
“There is no vaccine that’s 100% effective, so we’re really trying to develop a vaccine that works for us,” Krikorum said.
But it is also working to develop new ways to control the disease, which was first identified in the US in the late 1990s.
“This is one of the most complicated infectious diseases that we have ever encountered,” said John P. O’Neill, a vaccine expert at the University of Pennsylvania.
O’Neill said the CDC needs to find a way to test people at different points of the infection, so that they know when they are most vulnerable and how to avoid getting sick.
He said some of the CDC’s efforts include giving people more information about the disease so that more can be done to reduce its spread.
“It is really important that the people in this country understand what’s going on, that they get tested and they get treated,” he told CNN.
O`Neill said he thinks that this pandemic is a major opportunity to use a combination of strategies.
“Because this is a public health crisis, we need to get involved in ways that we can control the spread of this disease and that can be through a combination,” he added.
“The only way we can really get to zero cases is if we get more of the virus out of people.”
